I signed up for a work Short Term Assignment near Tokyo to facilitate a project that mostly spanned Japan (15 hrs ahead), Taiwan (14hrs ahead), India (11.5 hrs ahead), Malaysia / Singapore (14 hrs ahead) with some US activities. The logic was, be where the action is when things hit the fan rather than be on calls through the night or feel disconnected because things where happening on my project and I wasn't involved. Perhaps a control thing?
The goal is to send out regular updates on experiences and learnings along the way family and friends might enjoy.
Some Details:
The domicile (40m^2 apartment) is on the far west edge of Tokyo in the town of Hachioji.
